September 20 Announcements 2021

The Lady Wildcats Tennis Team does it again with a massive victory in the varsity and JV matches over Central Crossing High School! If you see a tennis player tell them congratulations on a solid victory! This is shaping up to be one of their best seasons yet!

 

ATTENTION SENIORS: 

 

If you are planning to attend college we strongly encourage you to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  Please attend our Financial Aid Information Night Meeting featuring:   Faith Phillips, Financial Aid Director from OSU Newark/COTC. It will take place tomorrow, September 21st at Westerville North Highschool. The meeting will begin at 6:30 pm. An overview of Financial Aid will be explained in detail. All parents with students attending a college/university during the 22-23 school year should attend and apply.  Applications open October 1.Seniors:  

 

Interact club will be meeting tomorrow at 2:30 in room 1401. 

 

Hey Cats!

If you’re interested in anything related to the environment and the Earth, join Environment Club here at South!  Our first meeting is this Wednesday, September 22, right after school in room 115, and should be over before 3. For more information join our Remind @wshsen or talk to Mr. Lackey. Go Cats!

 

Key Club will be holding a membership meeting on Tuesday September 21st in room 239 with Mrs. Stocker 

 

Paper recycling will be beginning soon! We are waiting for the outside dumpster to be emptied before we can start. Second floor will be picked up 9th period on Monday’s and Wednesday’s. First floor will be picked up 2nd period Tuesday and Thursdays. Please remember we are only picking up paper recycling. Teachers, if you would like plastic bottle recycling, please reach out to Erin Focht for instructions. Stay tuned for when we will begin picking up paper recycling!

 

Congratulations to the girls cross country team for winning the Grandview Heights Bobcat Invitational for the 2nd year in a row! Meghan Worch led the way for the Cats finishing 2nd overall. Also scoring for the ladies and earning championship axes were Aubrey Paes, Mabel CV, Abby CV, Emma Henderson, Elise Bennett, and Kat Stoll. Congratulations and good luck this weekend at Pickerington Central!

 

Congratulations to the boys cross country team for winning the Grandview Heights Bobcat Invitational on this past Saturday! Chase Jackson led the way for the Cats, finishing 2nd overall. Also scoring and earning championship axes were Eeshwar Gattupalli in 3rd, Nick Hoelscher 4th, Miles Wilke 6th, Gabe Combs 9th, Joey Hatfield in 11th, and Teague Svendsen in 12th. Congratulations again, and good luck this weekend at Pickerington Central!
