January 21 Announcements

The Track Cats are off to a great start this year! Senior Emmanuel Asabere has broken the indoor school record in the long jump with a leap of 21’6″ and the triple jump with an effort of 42’1″. He currently ranks 2nd in the state in the triple jump and 6th in the long jump! Junior Godfred Nyafre currently ranks 15th in the pole vault with his 12’0″ performance! For the Lady Cats, junior Marissa Saunders ranks 2nd in the state in the 60 meter hurdles and 11th in the 60 meter dash. Sophomore Alexus Roberts ranks 5th in both the 60 meter hurdles and long jump! Congratulations! And keep up the great work! Good luck to everyone competing this weekend at Ohio State, Kent State, and Otterbein!

 

A reminder for all those interested in track & field who are not involved in a winter sport: We are working out in the weight room on Tuesdays and Thursdays 30 minutes after the end of the school day. Next week is Hope Week! Hope Squad is hosting a celebration of hope that includes raffling off baskets to the student body, a spirit week, and free hot chocolate on Wednesday morning as you arrive to school! Pay attention to signage around the building and ask a Hope Squad member for updates as we approach next Monday!

 

The Competition Cheerleading Squad will be competing this weekend at OSU’s St. John’s Arena. Come out to support! The Wildcats take the floor at 7:15PM.

 

Attention class of 2025! We are seeking 5 freshmen to take on the role of class officers! If you would like to run for class president, vice president, treasurer, secretary, or social chairperson, please pick up an application from your English teacher or in the main office.
