Don’t forget to sign up to play in the first-ever Westerville South Volleyball tournament hosted by the class of 2023. To participate, you must complete the waiver form and pay the participation fee – $5 per individual or $30 per team. Scan the QR code on a flyer hanging up around the school or login to your Graduating Class’s Google Classroom to complete the form. See you on the court!

Prom is on Saturday, May 21st and if you are planning on bringing a guest (someone who doesn’t go to South HS), you MUST TURN IN A DANCE GUEST FORM BEFORE you can buy your tickets. Tickets will not be sold to ANYONE for a guest without this form on file. Tickets go on sale Monday, May 2, so guest forms need to be turned in no later than THURSDAY, APRIL 28. These forms must be signed by an administrator from their home school, so plan accordingly. Don’t wait until the last minute! Guest forms can be picked up in the main office, outside of Ms. Coggburn’s room, or in the Class of 2022 and Class of 2023 Google Classrooms.

If you are interested in running for a Junior or Senior Class Officer position for next year, make sure you pick up a nomination form. These are available outside of Ms. Coggburn’s room (1325), Ms. Sefton’s room (116), and in the main office and are due Friday, April 29th. Elections will be online and will run May 2nd through May 6th.

Anyone interested in traveling to Japan in 2024, please attend our virtual enrollment meeting on Tuesday, April 26th at 7:00 pm. RSVP at www.westervilleworldwide.com . If you have any questions, contact Miss Baughman in room 2102!

Seniors don’t miss out on YOUR Scribe Senior SURVEY! We want your EXPERIENCES to be represented. Scan the QR code and complete the Survey questions today! Survey deadline is Friday, April 29!

Today is the national Day of Silence which is a student-led demonstration where LGBTQ+ students and allies all around the country—and the world—take a vow of silence to highlight the silencing and erasure of LGBTQ+ people in schools. Over 4 in 5 LGBTQ+ students don’t see positive LGBTQ+ representation in their curriculum, nearly 9 in 10 experience harassment or assault at school, and almost a third miss school because they feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Please join us as we break the silence after school TODAY in room 1321 to discuss ways our school can be more inclusive of the LGBT community. Please reach out to Miss Detrick, Ms. Hammons, Ms. Noelle, or Mr. Hinze if you need support for your participation today.

The boys lacrosse team defeated Westerville Central last night 14-7 to “Rule the ‘Ville”. Congrats to everyone on the team, especially our seniors!
