Isa Sanchez

Peace, love, and positivity are words that junior, Isa Sanchez, lives by in her life. Sanchez participates in theatre, and is heavily involved in the Black History Month show this year.

Sanchez takes the role of choreographer for the show. “Getting to choreograph is so much fun and has been a great experience,” said Sanchez. “Our goal for the show is to tell a beautiful story and show off our culture.”

English is Sanchez’s favorite subject in school. “I get to voice my opinions and learn more about peers through their perspectives,” said Sanchez.

Outside of school, Sanchez enjoys writing poetry, painting, and dancing. Since quarantine her love of these interests only grew more.

Sanchez’s dad is her biggest inspiration. She said he inspires her due to his encouragement to be a better artist everyday.

“I want people to know that I am a kind and passionate person with a lot to give,” said Sanchez. “I don’t think people realize that I do a lot of work outside of school, and am an artist and creative in more ways than one.”

Sanchez hopes to attend university in New York for the arts or education after graduating in 2022.
