Fun Fall Places to go This Fall
October 7, 2021
Lynds Fruit Farm located in Patakala ,Ohio is open now, and it is a great place to go with family or friends during the fall. It has everything most love about fall, including everything from Corn mazes, apple canons, to wagon and hay rides. Plus, they also offer pumpkin, apple, and peach picking.
The hours and ticket prices vary for certain activities. The maze is open every weekend until Sunday, Oct. 31. The market, apple and pumpkin picking is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The apple canons are new this year and are open weekends until 6 p.m depending on weather.
Senior Maggie Price said, “I always go to the pumpkin patch with my family. We get pumpkins to carve, ride the hay ride and go through the corn maze.” She goes here almost every year and says it’s a great place to spend time with family or friends.
There are a lot of different events going on throughout the month. They have bands perform, pop up petting zoos, different organizations come and sponsor the farm, you can rent out the campfire for parties or just to hang out.
Price also said, “Anyone who likes to enjoy the outdoors during the fall and is looking to have a fun time with friends and family would love it here”.
A Scribe poll on favorite fall activities shows pumpkin patches and fall farmers markets tied in first place. This shows how Lynds Fruit Farm is going to be a popular place to be as it has both of those.
Haunted houses are another great way to celebrate Halloween and fall. There are several to choose from in central Ohio. Fear Columbus, which used to be named 13th floor, is located in the Northland Plaza off of Cleveland Ave. It opens Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Sundays 7 p.m to 10 p.m.
Another option is the Haunted Hoochie located in Pataskala, Ohio. It’s open Thursday to Saturday nights at 8:30 p.m.
Senior Bradley Dotson said, “My favorite haunted house is The Haunted Hoochie, it’s the most scary because they get close to you and touch you. I go with a group of friends every year.”
