Junior Landon Beckwith is a member of the Varsity Boys Soccer team, and he’s eager to fight for the captain position next year.  Currently, this is Beckwith’s third year as a striker.

Beckwith has had 12 years experience playing either for the school or travel ball.  He used to play for Blast FC, which is club soccer.

When he is not playing soccer,  he’s sleeping, playing video games or hanging out with his girlfriend. But, then he said, he’s back to playing soccer. Beckwith said, “ I remember playing a lot and getting a lot of goals.”

Beckwith came off  a 6-7-2 season with the boys Varsity soccer team. “ It could have been way better,” he said. He had his parents and his brothers and sister to cheer him on throughout  the season.

“The life lesson I learned and took with me from soccer is don’t take anything for granted,” Beckwith said. Beckwith said he plans to go to college and play soccer.  His future goal is to “have a lot of money and to live life.”
