On Oct.16, a blood drive for the American Red Cross was held by the National Honors Society in the auxiliary gym. A little over 30 people signed up to donate blood according to a worker at the blood drive, Rishard Nolan.
The American Red Cross is in desperate need of blood because of the recent hurricanes. In order to be eligible, donors need to have a valid ID, meet height requirements of 5’ ft., weigh at least 110 pounds, and pass the physical exam.
For students interested in donating, but couldn’t make it on Oct. 16, blood drives also take place at local churches and libraries, and YMCA.
Your donation will support the student journalists of Westerville South High School. Your contribution will allow us to purchase equipment and cover our annual website hosting costs.
