“I had to make my own living and my own opportunity. But I made it! Don’t sit down and wait for the opportunities to come. Get up and make them,” said Madame C.J. Walker.
According to Website Biography.com, Madam C. J. Walker was an American entrepreneur that changed the world of hair care for African Americans. During the early 19th century, scalp infections were common in women. This led to hair loss, breakage, and overall poor health. As a result, the Madame C.J. Walker Manufacturing Company was created. The manufacturing company developed hair treatment and growth products to benefit the many sufferers of this infection and introduced much-need products to a sparse beauty community.
