Do you know red blood cells have a limited shelf life—just 42 days—so they must be constantly replenished. The National Honor Society is currently signing individuals up for our January 18th blood drive. You can sign up by speaking to one of our members during lunch. Join us in helping save lives.

 

Boys lacrosse meeting will be TODAY after school in Coach Randall’s room. Please attend if you want to play lacrosse this spring.

 

Recycling will be picked up on the second floor during 9th period today. Teachers, please have your bin in the hallway for it to be collected. We can now recycle all recyclable materials! Plastic, paper, cartons etc. can all be recycled now. Please help us reduce our waste and keep our school clean by recycling what you can in the appropriate places. Thank you!

 

Buckeye Boys State and Buckeye Girls State Applications are beginning. Join students from across the state for a week of civic government. This wonderful resume builder and networking opportunity is open to ALL JUNIORS. Find Wolfe (Periods 7,8,9,10) in the theatre/auditorium to express interest no later than January 20.

 

Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets Friday mornings. Come to FCA in room 2112 Fridays as soon as you get to school. Door opens at 6:45. To follow the Schoology group, search for “WSHS FCA”. Everyone is welcome. You don’t even have to be Christian or an athlete.

 

Do you need extra money to help pay for college? Seniors, the Community Scholarship Application is currently available but will be closing TOMORROW at 3pm. Reminders: ALL COLLEGE-BOUND SENIORS should plan to apply. Scholarships are not just based on GPA. Scholarships also focus on memorials-losing a loved one, community service, sports/activities, careers (engineering, education, etc), elementary and middle schools attended within Westerville, etc. Scholarship amounts range anywhere from $500 to $10,000 See Mrs. Stovall ASAP for assistance.
