Ray Charles was a African-American musician who had a lot of success in his career by combining different genres like soul music, R&B, jazz, gospel, pop, and country to create his most famous hits like “I got a Woman” and “America the Beautiful”. Even though Charles was blind, it did not stop him from becoming one of the greatest African-American musicians, winning 17 Grammy Awards, being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and later inducted in 2021 to the Country Music Hall of Fame.
