If the name Evelyn Piamonte doesn’t stand out to you, you may have at-least seen her star in Alice By Heart as the Dutchess, or maybe you’ve seen her supporting her fellow students at a Hope Squad event.
Piamonte, a junior, is heavily involved at Westerville South, and is a person that stands out to many.
At school, Piamonte is a part of multiple clubs such as Hope Squad, International Culture Club, and also is a recognized thespian for Troupe 513. Outside of school, Piamonte is a dancer and also owns her own photography business, EvelynOclockPhotos.
With that many activities, it can be hard to stay motivated during the year. Piamonte stated, “I stay motivated throughout the school year by setting small goals every week and working towards them and larger overarching goals.”
When working over 20 hours through the week, trying to fit in all of her extracurricular activities, Piamonte is focused on making sure everything gets done. Charlie Nickoli, friend of Piamonte and member of Troupe 513, said, “She does a really great job at getting everything done. Her motivation is crazy, and she still manages to make time for her friends and peers in the process.”
Piamonte said her favorite activity has to be her involvement in Westerville South’s Theater Troupe 513. Piamonte joined the department in Fall 2023, and she never left. She believes that theater “gives such a strong sense of community and I love being close to my friends everyday.”
She elaborated by going on to say, “Singing, dancing, and acting have always been huge interests of mine, and I’m so lucky to be able to express it in a department like Troupe 513.”
Being in her third year of high school, Piamonte has some advice for underclassmen. “Don’t be afraid to enjoy high school and romanticize life. This time of life can be really stressful, and we forget to simply have fun with it,” she said.
Piamonte is a very motivated student, and she makes a difference at Westerville South by sharing her positive attitude.
