Festivals
- Arts in the Alley – Sept. 19 – 21
In the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce, catch the 46th Arts In The Alley festival! Hours are 5-8 pm the 19th, 10am – 8pm the 20th, and 10am – 5pm the 21st. The Voice Of Grove City, a vocal competition takes place in the middle of the festival on the 20th!
- Urban Scrawl – Sept. 20 – 21
In Columbus, the longest current running mural festival, Urban Scrawl is having its 19th consecutive year running! Hours are 12 – 8pm the 20th, and 10am – 6pm the 21st. Enjoy various fun activities, such as live performances, DJ sets, dance exhibitions and showcases, learn about nearby community organizations, and eat from amazing food trucks!
- Mac and Cheese – Sept. 26
Hosted by the NextGen James Ambassadors Society and Easton Community Foundation, the Columbus Mac and Cheese Festival will be taking place on Friday, Sept. 26, from 4-7:30! Proceeds benefit the Adolescent and Young Adult program at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, raising over $75,000 last year! There will be many mac and cheese samples from many restaurants in central Ohio, a kid zone, with activities for children, and giveaways!
- Grandview Hop / Festival for Good – Sept. 27
On every fourth Saturday from June to September, along Grandview Avenue between the 1st and 5th Avenues, Grandview Heights invites you to their monthly event, The Grandview Hop! There are over 200 pop-up vendors, many food trucks, live music/performers, art, kids activities, dance lessons, games, fitness demos and giveaways! It takes place from 5-9pm, and there’s something for everyone!
OCTOBER
- Italian Festival – Oct. 10th – 12th
Since 1980, the Columbus Italian festival has been an ongoing yearly thing, with it being moved to its current location, St. John The Baptist Italian Catholic Church since 1999. Every year, it attracts over 35,000 visitors, having a big 3 day celebration with amazing food, culture, and entertainment! It will be hosted on the 10th from 5-11pm, the 11th from 12-11pm, and the 12th from 12-7pm.
- Moon Festival – Oct 11th
Hosted in Dublin, Ohio, the annual Moon Festival will be held on October 11th, from 11am-8pm. Experience Asian Culture with the Moon Festival, with diversity from such cultures as Indian, Chinese, and Japanese cultures. Performances will be happening from 12:30-5pm, with a short intermission from 2:30-3pm. There will also be Cultural & Art activities from 11:30am-4:30pm, A free Kung Fu and Tai Chi workshop from 2:30-3:30pm, Asian food trucks from 12-5pm, and their traditional Moon Festival celebration from 6-9pm, with musical performances, dancing, riddles, and more!
- Day of the Dead – Oct. 18th
Hosted by the Latino Arts for Humanity, a non-profit organization, the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) event in Columbus will take place from 10am-6pm. Day of the Dead is an important cultural event, originating in Mexico, honoring the lives of those close to an individual who have passed. There will be Ofrendas (Offerings), grave decorations, traditional food vendors, live music from local bands & musicians, education and fun activities for kids, a local arts exhibition, arts & crafts vendors, a parade with aztec dancers, folklore dances, and a lot more!
