Girls Volleyball
It was quite an unfortunate week in sports for the Wildcats. The girls volleyball team lost both their matches last week, with a 3-1 loss on Sept. 16 against Worthington Kilbourne, and another 3-0 loss on Sept. 18 against Dublin Scioto.
Soccer
Both girls and boys soccer teams had one game each, facing off against Westerville Central. The girls and boys junior varsity teams played on Sept. 15, and the varsity teams played the following day on Sept. 16. The varsity boys lost 6-1, the varsity girls lost 4-0, the JV girls lost 4-0, and the JV boys pulled off the only game that didn’t result in a loss with a 0-0 tie.

Football
The Wildcat football team traveled to Big Walnut on Friday, Sept.19, which ended in a 7-28 loss. The game was played without junior star running back Ian Gordon. The only touchdown of the game came when senior Evan Andrews completed a pass to senior Hassan Kaba, and junior Ethan Rozen made the extra point to give the Wildcats the only seven points they would score for the game.

Cross Country
The girls and boys cross country teams traveled to Pickerington Central on Saturday, Sept. 20. The girls meet was led by sophomore Lily Zappin in eighth place with a time of 19:50, sophomore Katelyn Hogenbirk in eighteenth place with a time of 20:33, and junior Melina Sahadevan and freshman Evgenia Pistolas were next in 21st and 23rd place with times of 20:43 and 20:44. Senior Sofie Loftin rounded out the top 5 in 36th place with a time of 21:35.
The highlight of the boys race was junior Willis Guard-Batchelder who finished in 3rd place with a time of 16:27, which was the fastest time in school history at the course. Next was Chase Crawford in 10th place with a time of 16:44.
A large pack of Wildcats all together with freshman Alex Michalek in 61st place with a time of 18:19, senior Colin Lundy in 62nd with a time of 18:27, senior Alex Laus in 64th with a time of 18:30.07, junior Colin Fowler in 65th with a time of 18:30.96, sophomore Jude Gruber in 66th with a time of 18:31, and sophomore Josh Share in 68th with a time of 18:35.

Girls Tennis
On Tuesday, Sept. 16, the girls tennis team had their senior night, with five seniors graduating: Niti Bhattarai, Elizebeth Hastings Coker, Nasteha Muse, Maame Amopah and, Valentina McGuire-Guerra. They celebrated with a win to send them off, 3 out of 5 varsity matches winning.
On Thursday Sept. 18, the girls went to Worthington Kilborne, and unfortunately came home with a 0-5 loss. Their 1st doubles team had a very close match, winning the first set in a tie breaker; but unfortunately, they lost the 2nd set, leading them to another tiebreaker set that was lost 0-1.
