January 24 Announcements

Two more indoor school track and field records were tied this past weekend! Congratulations to the 4×800 meter relay team of Nick Hoelscher, Chase Jackson, Eeshwar Gattupalli, and Gabe Combs for tying the school record on their way to victory at Otterbein’s High School Meet Sunday morning. At the same meet, Godfred Nyafre tied the pole vault record with his jump of 13’0″. A reminder: we are in the weight room Tuesday and Thursday this week 30 minutes after the school day ends. Come join us!

 

Travel Club is happy to announce a NEW tour opportunity for THIS summer! If you are interested in traveling to Ecuador and the Galapagos islands, talk to Miss Baughman in room 2102 today! Enrollment will close soon, so don’t delay!

 

Hope Squad has officially kicked off Hope Week! Make sure you stop by the tables in the commons during lunch to send candy grams and enter to win one of four baskets we are raffling off. And here is some motivation for your Monday: “The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees opportunity in every difficulty.” — Winston Churchill. And don’t forget, tomorrow’s Spirit Week theme is Hope Day, wear suicide prevention colors which are purple, teal, and yellow.

 

A reminder for all those interested in track & field who are not involved in a winter sport: We are working out in the weight room on Tuesdays and Thursdays 30 minutes after the end of the school day.
